Casa Franko

Description:

In the silence and peace of the mountains of Kobarid's Stol there is a restuarant Hiša Franko ( accomodation available ) at the location of the former homestead with a mill and even a hospital (during the First World War). The estate with house was renovated and changed to a restaurant by Franko Kramar in 1972, and even then the restaurant was something special. A new page in the development of Hiša Franko was turned in 1999 by Frank's son Valter Kramar together with his wife Ana.

Hiša Franko signifies an experience of various gourmet menus that are based on creative cuisine and on characteristics of the seasons. They are continuously developing new dishes so that each visit is a new surprise and experience. They also have a wine cellar that houses 250 to 350 different selections of Slovene and some foreign wines.
