French car maker Renault suggests the end of production of the second generation of its Clio supermini model in its Slovenian and Spanish subsidiaries. The car will still be made in France.
Renault has come under heavy pressure from the French government to keep jobs at home following press reports about a planned shift of Clio production from France to Turkey.
Patrick Pelata, Renault's chief operating officer said no decision has been made on beefing up Renault's assembly lines in Turkey. Their primary goal is to keep jobs at home.
