The Slovenian national football team received a warm welcome at the Ljubljana airport and later at the capital's central square on Saturday after leaving first round in World Cup in South Africa.

The Slovenian footballers, which were believed to be qualified for the second round until the US scored against Algeria in the final minute of extra time, were received by around 10,000 fans at the reception ceremony.

The footballers and coach Matjaž Kek were amazed by citizen support nad promised that it was not the last World Cup for them. They are already looking forward to participate in European Championship.
