Slovenia tied with the United States of America (2:2) in its second match in group C. After an exceptional first-half Slovenia was leading 2:0 but in the second half USA was stronger and scored two goals as well.

Slovenia has won the fourth point in this World Cup and remains on top of Group C before England's meeting with Algeria later in the day. Americans remain undefeated with two draws ahead of their third game against the Algerians and Slovenia is facing hard work in next round with England.

Both teams have shown top performance in today game. An exciting contest opened with Birsa taking Slovenia into an early lead in 13 minute when the midfielder shot the ball some 22 meters from goal. It was one of the most eye-catching strikes of the tournament to date.

In the 42nd minute Ljubijankic doubled the lead picking up possession in plenty of space and slotted low into Howard's bottom corner.

Slovenia was already seen as winner, but Donovan ensured US comeback in 48 minute with a superb shot high above Handanovic at the near post. In 82 minute Bradley tied up when Altidore nodded a high ball down into the path of the onrushing Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder and he fired emphatically into the roof of the net.

US could win with 3:2 but Maurice Edu's goal off a free kick was ruled out by the referee.
