One winning streak had come to an end on Tuesday night at it was Great Britain’s. Hungary and Slovenia remain the only two undefeated teams in Division I Group B.

In the first two periods Slovenian team was quicker, trickier, their passes more dangerous and they had more shots on goal. The result ended with 2-0 for Slovenia. In the third period GB made use of a power play and scored 3 goals while Slovenia managed to score only one - result 3:3.

 

The Brits forced Slovenia into overtime, but the Slovenes earned their third win thanks to Ziga Jeglic’s goal at 61:40.

 

It was a well-deserved win taking into account the whole game, but it took the Slovenes much work and patience to overcome the British team that defended its cage well.

 

Slovenia are now favourites to progress to Germany next month for the elite World championships against the likes of Canada, USA, Russia and Sweden.

 

Today, Slovenan team has to face against South Korea and their counter attacks.
