The most successful Slovenian participant of Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver, skier Tina Maze, received a warm welcome as she returned to Slovenia with her two silver medals.
Greeted by her biggest fans, family and reporters, Maze held a press conference at the Ljubljana airport, speaking about the Vancouver experience which brought her silver medals in the super G and giant slalom events.
"I am extremely happy with the two medals. Looking back, I could have done more in the super combined competition...but in the giant slalom I did all I could...", said Tina.
She is already focusing on the next season, when she wishes to a have a serious go at the title of Overall World Cup Winner.
Before heading for her hometown of Crna na Koroskem, Maze made a stop at the Ljubljana Preseren Square in the afternoon.
While greeted by a crowd of several thousand people, Maze received the congratulations of the president of the Slovenian Olympic Committee (OKS) Janez Kocijancic, Education and Sport Minister Igor Luksic and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic.
