Crnomelj

Description:

The old city core of Črnomelj is a cultural monument called “a city above a city” because of its rich archeological finds. The remains of buildings and walls from the Roman period and the Middle Ages can be seen through the glass floor of the Pastoral Center.
Another attraction is Maleričeva House where arts and crafts products are exhibited and sold (Bela krajina Easter eggs, braided bread, etc.). You can observe the moments from the lives of Črnomelj residents in the museum collection in the castle.
After a hike, you will love the Bela krajina wine served in the Črnomelj Wine Cellar. This is one reason more to believe the Bela krajina slogan: “It’s good for us both!”
