Slovenske Konjice is a town and a municipality in the Štajerska region of northeastern Slovenia. It is the administrative and cultural centre of the Dravinja Valley. The municipality borders on the municipalities of Šmarje pri Jelšah and Šentjur pri Celju to the south, Vojnik to the west, Zreče to the northwest, Oplotnica to the north, Slovenska Bistrica to the east, and Rogaška Slatina to the southeast.

Konjiška gora, near the river Dravinja, has been a very pleasant living place for centuries. The landside opens into the Panonian plain, while on the southern slopes of Pohorje one can find beautiful vineyards, as well as a recently built golf place.
The golf place has nine playing fields with the total area of 24 ha. Its natural features make it picturesque, and the surface of playing fields is very diverse. Next to the golf place one can observe a variety of vineyards, streams, ponds and other biotops. The total length of playing fields is 2000 meters with par 33. In 2006, the golf place has been subjected to correction of its playing fields which has resulted in addition of 350 metres lin ength, so the predicted par of the golf place will be 36.
