The Convent Hotel is a redesigned formermonastery, which the Benedectines successfully grew vine and olive trees in Ankaran. In the 16 th. century the wine fromAnkaran, known as “Lacrimae Christi” (The Tears of Christ), was drunk even in Germany. Olive oil was kept in large stone vessels, which are now displayed on the parking lot.Orgenised tourismin Ankaran started in 1960, when the tourist company adria Ankaran was founded. The tourist complex Adria Ankaran is ideal for all those that like to spend holidays actively. The abundance of greenery will offer you shelter fromstrong summer sun and an opportunity for pleasantb walks.

The renovated building of the former Benedictine monastery offers 23 modern rooms and a spacious luxury apartment. The rooms are equipped with classical style furniture. Each room has a SAT-TV, telephone, hair dryer, mini bar, and a bathroom with a bath or shower. The rooms overlook the park and the sea or the hotel atrium decorated in the ancient style.

The Hotel Convent also has a luxurious apartment for newlyweds and all who wish to spend vacations in the greatest comfort. We also invite you to the Hotel Convent’s beautiful atrium where you can enjoy the spirit of an older time beside the fountain from 1835 while having a cup of coffee or tea.

The tourist complex Ankaran is suitable also for families with children. There aremany possibilities of fun on the beach and in watter, a niniature golf course, sand volleyball court, table tennis court, cycling routes.

The tourist complex is located in the centre of Ankaran right next to the sea (own beach 1 kmlong). Adria is indeed a green oasis, since numerous trees offer deep shadows and well nurtured grass pleasant camping. Only 100metres fromAdria there is a bank, a post office, a pharmacy and a bus stop.
